Brief Description | The company makes the Given System, one component of which is the PillCam, an ingestible capsule with an enclosed miniature video camera that takes photos of a patient's intestines or esophagus. As the PillCam moves through a patient's system, it transmits images to a wireless data recorder. The FDA-approved system, which also includes a computer workstation and imaging software, is a noninvasive alternative to traditional endoscopy.
